Originally, I asked my grandmother for her tiramisu recipe (which she sent) but my mother said that it was the wrong recipe and sent a voice note with the “correct” measurements. Here it is:
Ingredients:
- 3 Eggs
- 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 250g mascarpone
- 500 ml cream
- 1/4 cup espresso
- Lady finger biscuits
- cocoa powder
Method:
- Mix egg yolks and sugar together
- In a different bowl whip the cream and fold in the mascarpone
- Incorporate the two mixtures together
- Whip the whites until peaks form and then fold in to the mixture
- Dip the lady fingers in the espresso
- Layer the biscuits and the cream mixture
- Sprinkle the cocoa powder on top
